Ohhh la la!!! I went shopping today! I should be grooming dogs!

We have the COOLEST place that does retro Bars and Booths http://barsandbooths.com/index.shtml  here in Charles Town... (That's actually their business name)!  I picked out my booths and formica and they will build me my dinette!!!

Here are my color swatches....
I like the bottom right, brown and aqua.  Of course it's hard to get and costs more... go figure huh?  LOL

This is someone elses trailer but I think that I want my seats exactly like it...

The brown in the formica will tie in my ugly brown stove if I decide not to get it re-enameled.

Here is mine until I ripped it all out yesterday...

I also bought this clock today on ebay...

I just bought this vintage fan today!

And these pans!

Treading closer to chaos!

We are starting to remove 2 layers of linoleum and 53 years of dirt!

Little do we know that bad juju is about to be found!

The board on the right going under the base for the seat had a little rot so I asked my husband to remove it.  He wasn't in favor because he wanted us to use the trailer for the summer and start the major renovation in the fall. I talked him into removing it and OMGosh was that a mistake!

Here's Lee trying to figure out how the base is attached to the floor and front of the trailer.

Breaking out the Sawzall...

The base is out and loe and behold...what do we have here????  ROT!  There were 2 layers of paneling over it... I guess this trailer that I thought was not too bad was a bit decieving underneath it's clothes!

Lee is NOT a HAPPY CAMPER!

Me and my big mouth...  I have just created a nightmare... I guess we will be camping by fall!  LOL

Contemplating running away from home LOL

This is where I get *THE LOOK*  The look that says what have you gotten me into???? And... it would have been cheaper to buy one already restored...  :o)  Love you hunny!!!

Out comes the other base....

Lee's done for the day... standing outside and thinking that Pinterest sucks because my addiction to Pinterest is what gave me this idea in the first place!!!

Well, I got my job done... The linoleum is out.  I have a few spots to work on yet but I don't have to hurry... we have bigger fish to fry right now!!!  I am glad my hubby is a woodworker, is mechanical and a good sport!!!  Time for a drink and some dinner... Tomorrow is another day!

Here is the galley.  It's not in bad condition but it will be upgraded!  I am sure that the microwave was an new addition since the 50's! :)

Here is the dinette...  the cushions have already been discarded and the tires taken out!  :)

I love the cabinets above the dinette.  I am undecided as to whether I want to leave the wood (it needs work) put new birch paneling in and white wash it or take it all out and have my husband build me new cabinets.  Hmmmm.... decisions!

UGLY brown stove.  I am thinking of taking it out and sending it in to be repainted in turquoise...  Brown may look good with turquoise so we shall see.  i do not intend on using it much, if ever.

A nice big closet was a must because I always overpack!

The back end of the trailer and the bedroom... This is already in the landfill and a brand new mattress will be ordered when we get to that point.  I wish that it was running all along the back instead of down the side.  the bathroom is on the other side of the room... I guess we need to keep the bathroom LOL!

Bringing Heidi Ho home!

I lost one of my precious dogs the week that I bought my vintage trailer. In her memory, I am naming my trailer after her. Her name is Heidi Ho... my nickname for Heidi. I miss her so!
